Sunday, March 15 - Chiara Salerno and Max Pisu
Sunday, March 15th, another classic, "The Tailor for Ladies," starring Chiara Salerno and Max Pisu. A hilarious comedy of errors by Georges Feydeau, written in 1886, it has been staged in countless productions as well as several films. Dr. Moulineaux, a married man, rents a small apartment formerly occupied by a seamstress for his amorous encounters with his patient Suzanne Aubin, constantly interrupted by unexpected and amusing visitors.
Tuesday 31 March - Rocío Muñoz Morales, Giorgio Lupano and Gabriele Pignotta
On Tuesday, March 31st, Rocío Muñoz Morales, Giorgio Lupano, and Gabriele Pignotta will take the stage in the hilarious "Dangerous Contractions." This show marks a turning point in Pignotta's career, including as a writer. The winning ingredients are all there (comedic situations, reflections, and a hint of mystery), but here we cross the threshold into an exploration of the soul, the impulses, fears, hopes, and desires of a generation without certain reference points. Martina will become pregnant, and Massimo will only find out when she goes into labor. At that moment, a volcano of mutual feelings, long-held by the two, will erupt. A key role will be played by the obstetrician at one of Rome's hospitals, which are increasingly struggling due to staff shortages and limited resources.
Friday, April 24 - Massimo Popolizio with Giovanni Lo Cascio
On Friday, April 24, Massimo Popolizio will present "The Grapes of Wrath," based on John Steinbeck's novel, accompanied by percussionist Giovanni Lo Cascio . In the summer of 1936, Steinbeck set out on a mission to recount the plight of laborers forced to migrate from the fractured heart of the United States to California. Three years later, he wrote a report on that experience, in which current affairs, politics, and humanity merged into a searing narrative that changed the way we look at social justice and the dignity of the defeated. Even today, we ask ourselves: is it possible to remain human when everything around us is collapsing?
Friday, May 22 - Luca Bizzarri, Enzo Paci, and Antonio Zavatteri
On Friday, May 22nd, the festival will close with the play "Our Women," performed by Luca Bizzarri, Enzo Paci, and Antonio Zavatteri and produced by CMC Nidodiragno. This contemporary work by the late French-Tunisian author Eric Assous will feature three friends meeting for the customary poker game. The women of the title won't be physically present, but they will still invade the stage: loved, hated, missed, materialized by the conversations of their men in crisis.
