Sanremo Music Festival 2026

Sanremo Music Festival 2026

The countdown to the 2026 Sanremo Music Festival has begun. The 76th edition will air from Tuesday, February 24th to Saturday, February 28th , accompanied by a rich program of collateral events and amplified by the radio stations located in the city center's shop windows. Rai Radio Due and RaiPlay will be the official broadcasters of the singing festival for radio and web, respectively. On Sunday, March 1st , everyone will once again be in the City of Flowers for Domenica In , the Rai Uno program hosted by Mara Venier .

The 76th Sanremo Festival will be a Carlo Conti repeat, in his dual role as host and artistic director , and there's anticipation to see if he can surpass last year's success. We'll have to wait and see, because the content of the songs will ultimately decide the outcome of the contest. There's certainly been a strong focus on young artists, as in recent years, driven by the age of the participants and the fact that their names are among the most beloved by young audiences. This means, or at least promises, a good radio and commercial following. As in previous editions, the winner of the Campioni section will be awarded, unless he or she withdraws, the right to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 , which will take place in Vienna in May.

The 30 Champions , who will perform with unreleased songs, are:

As for the Newcomers category , Sanremo continues to be an excellent opportunity to launch an artistic project, even more so considering the competition from talent shows and alternative internet channels. Taking to the prestigious stage of the Ariston Theatre for the first time are Angelica Bove with "Mattone," Blind, El Ma, and Soniko with "Nei miei DM," Mazzariello with "Manifestazione d'amore," and Nicolò Filippucci with "Laguna." This category features four new talents, two of whom qualified through Sanremo Giovani 2025 and two who graduated from Area Sanremo 2025, demonstrating that the Sanremo artistic laboratory is working and producing quality. All will perform the songs they presented during their respective competitions.

What this year brings together both established and emerging artists seems to be a revival of love songs, but seen from a contemporary perspective. Not the classic song written for Sanremo, but rather the sentiment as a hope to cling to amidst the country's difficulties. Therefore, according to the organizers, the tastes of a broader audience, more devoted to a traditional Festival, will be respected and satisfied, thanks in part to well-known names like Patty Pravo and other veteran Sanremo artists.

Conti will be joined across the five evenings by Laura Pausini and various co-hosts, including Can Yaman on the first evening, Pilar Fogliati, Achille Lauro, and Lillo on the second, Irina Shayk on the third, and Gianluca Gazzoli on the second and third evenings for the Newcomers competition.

And here are the guests already announced: on the opening night Tiziano Ferro , Gaia live from the Suzuki Stage in Piazza Colombo and Max Pezzali , who will be live from the Tuscan coast for the entire duration of the event; on the second night Bresh from the Suzuki Stage; on the third night Eros Ramazzotti, Alicia Keys and The Kolors from Piazza Colombo; on the fourth night Francesco Gabbani from the Suzuki Stage; and in the final Andrea Bocelli and Pooh from Piazza Colombo.

Finally, there will be live broadcasts of the PrimaFestival with Ema Stokholma, Manola Moslehi and Carolina Rey and of the DopoFestival with Nicola Savino and the participation of Aurora Leone, Federico Basso and maestro Enrico Cremonesi for musical direction.
