Sanremo Padel Experience 2026
A new international format is born, combining sport, entertainment, and local territory: the Sanremo Padel Experience . It will be a modern and innovative sporting event model, an evolution of the Sanremo Padel Tour , which last year attracted approximately 1,100 participants. In collaboration with the FIP, the International Padel Federation, the event will bring various tournaments to our country, both for emerging talents, such as the FIP Promises (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18), and for amateurs, such as the FIP Beyond (Over 19, 40, and 50). The aim is to make the City of Flowers an international reference point for padel .
This is a major goal for tourism on the Riviera dei Fiori , as the Sanremo Padel Experience will bring together athletes from as many as 40 countries , according to official data provided by the FIP: Padel currently has over 35 million players and nearly 80,000 courts spread across five continents. Italy is the second largest country in the world after Spain, with approximately 1.5 million players and more than 10,000 playing facilities.
The winners of the four stages in Perugia, Grosseto, Rome, and Turin, which will take place from May to September, will be entitled to accommodation in Sanremo to participate in the Grand Finale of the Sanremo Padel Experience in September . The Grand Finale will see the circuit's best players compete in the City of Flowers during a week of spectacular padel with the Promises and Beyond tournaments and numerous side events , also thanks to commercial partners. A large media presence is also expected.
The Grand Finale will be played in the heart of the City of Flowers, with the playing field surrounded by stands , located in one of Sanremo's most iconic and important squares. A veritable padel citadel will be built around it, complete with a shopping village, entertainment, and television, radio, and web coverage. It is hoped that this will have significant economic and tourism benefits for the area , where outdoor play will be possible year-round.
The Sanremo Padel Experience 2026 will feature authentic champions of this tennis-derived discipline, which has no equal in history in terms of its rapid growth: Marcela Ferrari , former player and coach of both the men's and women's Italian national teams, Gaby Reca , multiple world champion and coach, and other high-profile names such as Vincent Candelá, Paolo Di Canio, Demetrio Albertini and Christian Panucci , who are the testimonials of this new format.
Furthermore, in February 2027, the Festival Edition will be held during the Italian Song Festival. It will be a unique event combining sport, music, and entertainment in Sanremo! The aim is to involve VIPs, football stars, and leading figures from the entertainment world .
The Sanremo Padel Experience is promoted and co-organized by E20 Sanremo together with the Head of Business of NSA Group and enjoys the support of the Municipality of Sanremo, the Department of Tourism , the Liguria Region , which will participate in the event with Guidelines to give students the opportunity to get in touch with future training and employment choices, and the InLiguria Agency .
