Sanremo Symphony Orchestra: Summer 2026

For the first time in 2026, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra's summer season premiere took place at Casa Sanremo , the flagship of the Italian Song Festival's collateral events. This demonstrates that the Sanremo Summer Symphony has grown to become a sought-after event for participating artists and can be organized well in advance. It is also evident that the synergy between the Foundation, the Municipality of Sanremo, and the Tenco Club is working and producing quality, bringing important names and high-level performances to the City of Flowers. The program includes ten concerts starting at 9:30 pm, including world premieres and tributes, in the evocative setting of the Franco Alfano Auditorium , a theater overlooking the sea immersed in the lush nature of Marsaglia Park.
The Orchestra Sifonica, one of the most important cultural institutions in Sanremo, will also be a true protagonist during the 76th Sanremo Festival: of the 32 musicians performing on the Ariston stage, 19 will be permanent professors of the Foundation, a truly record result . In addition, the "Sinfonica in mostra" exhibition will be open from 21 to 28 February at the Palazzo Nota Civic Museum and in the Pigna exhibition space in the historic centre, from 10 am to 6 pm, featuring black and white and colour photographs of the latest editions of the Sanremo Summer Symphony.
Exceptionally at Pian di Nave, on Sunday, July 5th, Goran Bregović will open the summer season with the violin concerto "The Belly Button of the World" with the Orchestra per Matrimoni e Funerali and the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Danilo Rossi. He is a renowned composer and musician, winner of the Tenco Award for Lifetime Achievement, one of the most iconic figures on the Balkan and global music scene. He will bring a message of peace, as this son of Sarajevo is living proof that listening to one another is more possible and desirable than ever.
On Saturday, July 11, the Franco Alfano Auditorium will host "Kurt Elling meets Sanremo Symphony Orchestra," conducted by Angelo Valori. Kurt Elling is widely regarded as one of the most influential performers in contemporary jazz. Over twenty-five years, he has garnered numerous international awards, including collaborations with major names. In 2024, he conquered Broadway in the award-winning musical "Hadestown," which reinterprets the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in a dystopian setting inspired by the American Depression of 1929, confirming a rare versatility between jazz and musical theater.
On Sunday, July 19th, the "Ana Carla Maza - Alamar Symphonic Concert" features one of the most astonishing composers and cellists of the new generation. Ana Carla Maza, not yet thirty, has already demonstrated her talent on Europe's most prestigious stages. With the cello as the undisputed protagonist, she will intertwine son cubano, tango, bossa nova, and Afro-Cuban rhythms, moving from intimate and poetic moments to bursts of captivating energy.
On Friday, July 24th, Raiz will perform with Radicanto and the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vincenzo Campagnoli. The unmistakable frontman of Almamegretta and a prominent figure on both television and film, he is a powerful figure on the Italian scene, combining Neapolitan song and Mediterranean roots with world music and electronic music in a highly personal style.
On Wednesday 29 July, Filippo Graziani, with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra and conductor Marco Bellasi, will pay homage to the artistic legacy of his father Ivan Graziani , a central figure in our singer-songwriter scene, in a project that will combine memory and current events.
On Tuesday, August 4th, Ron will perform with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valter Sivilotti . Among Italy's most beloved singer-songwriters, Ron boasts a career dotted with evergreen hits, prestigious collaborations, and several appearances at the Sanremo Music Festival. It will be an exciting evening, as his elegant and profound writing finds its ideal setting in the orchestra.
On Monday, August 10th , perhaps not coincidentally on the magical night of shooting stars, there will be a tribute to the "Unforgettable Whitney" Houston with Belinda Davids and the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Roberto Molinelli. It will be a journey through the entire repertoire of the late pop and soul icon, thanks to Davids's vocal talents and the symphonic arrangements of maestro Molinelli.
Another heartfelt tribute will premiere on Thursday, August 13th, this time to Lucio Dalla, titled "Between the Sea and the Stars," loosely based on the life of the Bolognese artist. The Sanremo Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Giancarlo De Lorenzo , who is also the Foundation's artistic director. The lyrics are by Davide Mancini and Marco Alemanno, directed by Marco Alemanno, and arranged by Valter Sivilotti. Gabriella Martinelli and Peppe Voltarelli will be featured as supporting vocalists. After its debut in the City of Flowers, the project will tour various locations as part of the new edition of "Musica nei borghi."
On Tuesday, August 18, singer-songwriter Paola Turci, with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valter Sivilotti , will revisit her most significant songs and those of women who have shaped history with their courageous, rebellious, and unconventional attitudes and musical choices. The evening will be further enhanced by the presence of Gino Castaldo, one of Italy's leading music journalists and critics , who will accompany the audience on a journey of words and music.
The grand finale will be on Thursday, August 21st with "Break Free - Long Live The Queen" featuring the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ernesto Colombo.
