Sanremo Christmas events 2025
The 2025 Christmas holidays in the City of Flowers began with the lighting of the Christmas lights and tree in Piazza Borea d'Olmo on December 6th, during the Immaculate Conception long weekend. They feature a packed calendar of events, especially for families with children. "Sanremo Christmas 2025 – Sound of Lights" includes over 100 events including music, light displays, and a variety of entertainment spread across the city center and surrounding areas . The program of events is designed for residents and tourists, particularly from Northern Italy and the nearby French Riviera.
The names of the two artists who will alternate at the console for New Year's Eve 2026 , set up aboard a yacht docked in Piazzale Vesco, have also been revealed: showman Gianni Rossi and DJ and actor Andrea Montovoli , a face well-known to television and screen audiences. In addition, the winter challenge will return, the traditional dip in the sea on New Year's Day at 11 a.m. at Bagni Nettuno . The ice skating rink will remain set up on the Piazza Colombo platform until January 6, and the amusement park will remain open until January 11 in Piazzale Carlo Dapporto and Pian di Nave.
On Saturday, December 13th, the Piccolo Brocante will be held in Piazza San Siro from 9:30 am, and at 6 pm, the former oratory of Santa Brigida in the historic center of La Pigna will feature the theatrical performance "Il Dio Bambino" with Fabio Troiano, organized by Nidodiragno Produzioni/Coop. CMC.
On Sunday 14 December, the Ponente Corse “Christmas Trophy” will take place in San Romolo from 7am, while the antiques market will be held in Piazza Colombo and in the atrium of the Palafiori from 9.30am.
Tuesday, December 16th, at 2:30 pm in Piazza Borea d'Olmo, everyone is invited to the Rubino Primary School's "Christmas Greetings."
The musical series “Swing corner of Christmas” kicks off on Friday 19 December in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 4pm with the Jonathan Manes trio , presented by the Stan Kenton music studies centre.
The week leading up to Christmas will see a surge in events. On Saturday, December 20th , the "Santa Claus Walk ," a charity event organized by the Genoa-Savona-Imperia branch of the AIL, will begin at 2:30 PM in Piazza Colombo. Musical entertainment by the duo Beat Less will take place in the Pigna at 4:30 PM.
On Sunday, December 21st, children will be entertained by the theatrical performance "The Chocolate Factory" by the Talea cultural association in Piazza Colombo at 3:30 PM. The "Double Trust Choir" gospel concert will take place in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 4:30 PM. Via Matteotti, the ideal shopping street for last-minute gifts, will feature the musical show "Kanta con noi Christmas 2025" by the Vivi Armea association at 5 PM. Sacred choral music by the Nova Tempora choir will be performed in the Capuchin Friars' Church at 9 PM.
On Monday, December 22nd, the children's theater show "Christmas Circus" by the Talea cultural association will take place in Piazza Colombo at 3:30 p.m., while the concert "Souvenir d'Italie" by the band The Brilliant Tina Linetti's will be held in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 5 p.m. The Sanremo Symphony Orchestra will perform Mozart's "Traditional Christmas Music for Choir and Orchestra" at 9 p.m. in the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
On Tuesday, December 23, at 10 a.m., the food market will feature piano and vocal entertainment by Provideoservice. The musical show “Kanta con noi Christmas 2025” by the Vivi Armea association will be performed on Via Matteotti at 5 p.m., while the pop-rock ensemble “Fri Noz” by the Note Libere association will be performing at Villa Zirio. At 5:30 p.m., the GB Pergolesi musical association will entertain those in attendance at the former oratory of Santa Brigida. Meanwhile, in Piazza Borea d'Olmo , pianist Massimo d'Alessio will perform. The “Ocean” light parade by the Muse Novae association will begin in the city center streets at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, December 24th, at 10:00 a.m., Canottieri Sanremo will perform "Santa Claus Comes from the Sea" in Piazzale Vesco. The "Swing Corner of Christmas" musical series will continue in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 4:00 p.m., featuring the Davide Laura Trio , a tribute to the Stan Kenton Music Studies Center.
On Friday, December 26 , Boxing Day, Christmas workshops for children, “Christmas Garland,” will be held at the Palazzo Nota Civic Museum at 3:30 pm, and in Piazza Eroi Sanremesi, at the Siro Carli fountain at the same time, the “Christmas magic show” with Serena & Gaspar, sponsored by Porto Vecchio snc, will take place. In Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 5 pm, the musical “Perché Sanremo è Sanremo” by Provideoservice will be on stage, and at Villa Zirio at the same time, the “Note Libere” ensemble from the association of the same name will be performing.

On Sunday, December 28th, the central streets will be hosting a parade by the local folk band Canta e Sciuscia at 10:30 a.m. In Piazza Colombo, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a children's show called "Il bosco dei sogni" (The Woods of Dreams) by the Talea cultural association, and in Piazza Eroi Sanremesi, near the Siro Carli fountain, there will be a "Kinder Christmas" event organized by Porto Vecchio snc. On Via Matteotti at 5:00 PM and in Piazza Colombo at 5:30 PM, residents and tourists can enjoy "The Sounds of Christmas in Sanremo" by the Fare Musica association. In the evening , sacred choral music by the Nova Tempora choir will be performed at the Basilica del Sacro Cuore in Bussana at 9:00 PM.
On Tuesday, December 30th, at the food market , piano and vocal entertainment by Provideoservice will be available at 10:30 a.m. The Talea cultural association will perform the children's show "A Christmas Carol" in Piazza Colombo at 3:30 p.m., and the Palazzo Nota Civic Museum will host the children's Christmas workshops "Trees and Stars with Touches of Color" at 5 p.m. Simultaneously , "The Sounds of Christmas in Sanremo" by the Fare Musica association will be performed in Piazza Borea d'Olmo and in Via Matteotti at 6 p.m. The day's grand finale will be at the Teatro Cinema Centrale at 9 p.m. with the "Concerto delle Festivi," featuring waltzes and polkas by the Strauss family performed by the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra .
On Wednesday 31 December , before the sparkling New Year's Eve at the Porto Vecchio and on the sea, the Christmas workshops for children “Desideri in cartolina” will open at 11 am at the Civic Museum of Palazzo Nota and in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 4 pm the musical series “Swing corner of Christmas” will continue with the Freddy Colt swingtet , created by the Stan Kenton music studies centre.
On Friday, January 2nd, the "Ghirlanda delle feste" Christmas workshops for children will be held at the Palazzo Nota Civic Museum at 3:30 pm. In Piazza Eroi Sanremesi, near the Siro Carli fountain, at 3:30 pm , "Music & Dance" with Francesca Singer powered by Porto Vecchio snc will take place, and in Piazza Borea d'Olmo at 4 pm, the "Swing Corner of Christmas" musical series with Luciano Capurro & Friends , created by the Stan Kenton music studies center, will move to 4 pm. Inside the former oratory of Santa Brigida, at 5 pm , entertainment will be provided by the GB Pergolesi musical association , while in Bussana, at the same time, the Bandakadabra marching band, organized by the Coop. CMC, will parade. In Via Matteotti at 5:30 pm and in Piazza Colombo at 6 pm, "The Sounds of Christmas in Sanremo" by the Fare Musica association will once again take place.
On Saturday, January 3rd, at the food market at 10:30 am , piano and vocal entertainment by Provideoservice will resume. In the afternoon, at the Palazzo Nota Civic Museum, the “Disegni a muffa” Christmas workshops for children will be held again at 3:30 pm, while in the Pigna, musical entertainment by the duo Beat Less will begin at 4:30 pm. In Piazza Colombo , “The Sounds of Christmas in Sanremo” by the Fare Musica association will take place at 5 pm, and in Coldirodi, at the same time, the Bandakadabra marching band, brought by the Coop. CMC, will parade. In the city center, at 5:30 pm, the light show “Les mongolfières” by the Muse Novae association will take place.
On Sunday 4th January, the local folk band Canta e Sciuscia will be back in the central streets at 10:30am. On Monday, January 5th, the outskirts of the city will be enlivened by the marching band Bandakadabra, provided by the Coop. CMC, while on Via Matteotti at the same time, the musical show "Kanta con noi Christmas 2025" by the Vivi Armea association will be performed. In Piazza Borea d'Olmo, at 5:30 pm, "The Sounds of Christmas in Sanremo" by the Fare Musica association will be performed. Afterwards, the former Oratory of Santa Brigida will host the theatrical performance "Ci siam cascate di nuovo" (We've Fallen Again) with Alessandra Faiella, produced by Nidodiragno Produzioni/Coop. CMC, at 6 pm.
The grand finale will be on Tuesday, January 6th, in Piazza Colombo at 3:30 PM with the children's show "La Befana Vien di Notte" by the Talea cultural association. On Via Matteotti, at 5 PM, the final showdown will be with "I suoni del Natale a Sanremo" by the Fare Musica association. The marching band Bandakadabra, courtesy of the CMC Cooperative, will make its final appearance in the city streets at 5:30 PM.
