Sanremo Nobel Days 2025

In Sanremo, Nobel Days 2025, from December 10th to 12th, will offer a cultural immersion at Villa Nobel. The month of December is traditionally marked by the Nobel Prize awards ceremony, which takes place on the 10th, the anniversary of the death of its creator, Alfred Nobel . Not everyone knows that the Prize has its roots in the City of Flowers, as Nobel established it in his will, written in Sanremo , which he chose as his buen retiro and where he died in 1896 at the age of 63.
The program will kick off on Wednesday the 10th at 3:00 PM with a tribute to an Italian literary genius: a major conference entitled "Montale and Music" will be entirely dedicated to the Ligurian poet, commemorating the 50th anniversary of his awarding of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Among others, writer Giuseppe Conte will read a poem by Montale (free admission, reservations required).
The in-depth study on Montale will also include a thematic exhibition open to the public on December 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
On Wednesday, at 5 p.m., a solo exhibition of works and sculptures by artist Elio Lentini will open (free admission, reservations required).
The evening's highlight will be an exclusive gala dinner at 8:00 pm in the "La Fenice" greenhouse, featuring a menu inspired by Christmas flavors, uniting Italy and Sweden. The dinner will be enhanced by the special performance of the renowned Santa Lucia Choir , arriving directly from Stockholm for the occasion, and live jazz entertainment (reservations required).
The event will continue on Thursday the 11th with further cultural activities for high school students in the morning, to demonstrate the relevance of Montale's thought.
Afterwards, at 5 pm, there will be an unmissable event , “The Hour of Destiny,” with the famous writer Antonio Scurati , the protagonist of a meeting of deep reflection in collaboration with the prestigious literary festival “Cervo in blu d'inchiostro” (free admission, reservations required).
The event will conclude on Friday the 12th, looking to the future with an open day for primary schools, a moment dedicated to inspiring the new generations in the magnificent setting of the Villa.
