Sanremo Padel Tour 2024

The countdown has begun for the Sanremo Padel Tour 2024 , which will be held from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 September . The city is ready to welcome the champions of the sporting event, the Sky Sport press and fans of this tennis-derived activity, which has literally exploded in Italy in recent years, quickly becoming the second nation in terms of number of practitioners. It will be a free event, which will take place in Piazza Colombo . Padel, therefore, as a promotional tool for Sanremo, so much so that next year the tournament will consist of seven stages in our country and one on the French Riviera and the men's and women's finals will be hosted in the autumn in the City of Flowers.

The event will begin on Friday 27th at 10am with the inauguration of the village. The morning will feature two padel legends, testimonials of the Matuzian event: Gaby Reca , multiple world champion and coach, and Marcela Ferrari , former player and coach of the Italian national team, both men's and women's. In the afternoon, the maestro Teo Savoldi will intervene with a group of young promises under 8 , who will close the first day with a demonstration scheduled from 5pm to 6:30pm.

On Saturday 28th at 9:30 it will be the turn of the Paralympic champion of the 100 m flat Alessandro Ossola . After that, from 11 to 12:30, four great champions will train on the stage in Piazza Colombo: Federico Chingotto (4th place in the world ranking), Momo Gonzalez (11th), Javier Barahona (37th) and Javi García (48th). From 12:30 to 14:00 four sports journalists from Sky Sport will compete: Gianluigi Bagnulo, Alessandro Lupi, Stefano De Grandis and Dario Massara ; while from 15 to 17:30 there will be a special competition between four former football stars, namely Demetrio Albertini, Nicola Amoruso, Nelson Dida and German Denis . Grand finale from 17:30, when you can watch the actual competition between Chingotto, Gonzalez, Barahona and García, who will remain available to play with the public at the end. Participation is free, but reservations are appreciated.

The program for Sunday 29th includes training in the morning with the four world aces and another test among the names of Sky Sport, while in the afternoon ample space will be given to the three local padel clubs: Tc Sanremo, Sanremo Academy and Tc Barabino .
