Sanremo Songwriting Festival and the 2025 Tenco Prize
The Tenco Prize , the 2025 Songwriter's Competition , will return to the Ariston stage from 23 to 25 October at 9 pm.
A special evening will take place on Wednesday, October 22nd at 9:00 PM at the Teatro dell'Opera del Casinò, featuring Gianni Coscia and Alessandro D'Alessandro, along with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra. Arianna Antinori and Sergio Secondiano Sacchi will perform, and Paolo Talanca will host.
“ With memory” will be the theme of this new, highly anticipated edition , a title of extreme relevance. The prestigious Tenco Club, which has always worked to enhance and promote quality singer-songwriter music, has awarded the Tenco Awards to Lucio Corsi for the best overall album and best single song, “Volevo essere un duro”; Anna Castiglia for the best first work, “Mi piaci”; Ginevra Di Marco for the best artist album, “Kaleidoscope”; La Niña for the best album in Neapolitan dialect, “Furèsta”; and Caroline Pagani for the best project album, “Pagani per Pagani” . We remind you that the Tenco Award represents the highest recognition awarded since 1984 to the best Italian singer-songwriter albums released over the past year. The artists and recording projects are evaluated by the largest jury composed of journalists and music critics in our country. The plaques will be awarded during the first two of three evenings at the Ariston, organized by Club Tenco with the support of SIAE, the Liguria Region, the Municipality of Sanremo, the Ministry of Culture, Sanremo Live&Love, and several other sponsors.
Additionally, Baustelle, Goran Bregovic, Ricky Gianco, Daniele Silvestri, and Tosca will receive the Tenco Award for Lifetime Achievement, and Tito Schipa Jr. will receive the Award for Cultural Worker . Since 1974, the Tenco Award has been an important tribute to the work of those who have made a significant contribution to the world of songwriting. The Yorum Award in memory of Refaat Alareer , a Palestinian poet and activist, and the SIAE Award will be presented to Mimmo Locasciulli . The awards will be distributed from Thursday to Saturday.
Finally, the 2025 event will see longtime presenter Antonio Silva return, joined alternately by Lorenzo Luporini, Silvia Boschero, and Andrea Scanzi . Save the date!
