The 2025 Haute Couture Festival in Sanremo

Following the great success of the tribute to Princess Grace last year, a tribute to Rainier III of Monaco is planned at the Sanremo Casino as part of the Italian Eco-Sustainable Haute Couture Festival from 5 to 14 September 2025 .
The prestigious tradition of "made-to-measure" will return to the Matuziana casino, crafted exclusively from eco-sustainable materials, driven by innovation and respect for the environment. The spotlight will be on local artisan excellence. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 5th, at 4:00 PM, by HSH Prince Albert II , who has chosen to contribute to this important event.
The uniforms and tailored suits of Ranieri III will embellish the fourth edition of Stile Artigiano è di Moda . The photographs and clothing from the Palais Princier will be exhibited in the Casino's Private Room . After the invitation-only opening, the exhibition entitled "In a Sign of Service," curated by art historian Federica Flore, will remain open to the public from Saturday 6th to Sunday 14th September from 10am to midnight (free admission ). It will showcase the elegance of one of the most beloved and unforgettable emblems of glamour, who often visited the City of Flowers, and who will live on in the Grimaldi collections of the Principality of Monaco.
Our casino has always treasured its ties to the nearby French Riviera and Monte Carlo. Rainier III and his gracious wife appreciated Western Liguria, spending time in the shops and at the Municipal Casino, and attending gala dinners. These occasions were immortalized in photographs that convey their good taste, as well as the royals' authority and empathy. In conjunction with the Prince's exhibition, the Sala Privatissima will host "Stile Artigiano è di Moda ," a show featuring tailored clothing and artisanal workmanship that will showcase local master craftsmen. What's more, if sustainability is the key, using locally sourced services and products is beneficial to the environment and the local economy. Consequently, some collateral events will feature traditional dishes, prepared by hand using local ingredients. Confartigianato is one of over thirty partners in the project, led by the Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of the Ligurian Riviera.
On Saturday, September 6, at 4:30 p.m., the Teatro dell'Opera will host the conference "Intelligence and Artisan Creativity in the Age of AI," coordinated by TV journalist Beppe Convertini. The conference will focus on the new challenges of sustainable fashion and the evolution of Made in Italy tailoring. Participants will include Professor Stefano Zecchi , couturier Luca Litrico of the historic Maison of the same name, and Moreno Vignolini, President of Confartigianato Moda. Following the conference, the designers' designs will be presented at a special ceremony, where the jury (composed of Zecchi, Litrico, and Vignolini) will award the 2025 Eco-Sustainable Italian Haute Couture Prize .
Additionally, on Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m., the fashion show for the contestants for the aforementioned Award will take place on the casino's famous steps . Hosted by Eleonora Pedron, Miss Italy 2002, the event will showcase talent, research, and attention to detail, as well as explore a different relationship between designer, client, and materials in light of the 2030 Agenda. Emerging names will be joined by established brands, industry enthusiasts, and the media. The exits will be interspersed with entertainment, ballet, and performances by singer Monia .
